As I closely connect with Mayan cosmology, I marvel at the accuracy some of the basic core truths of this expression of consciousness. I see so many spiritual gurus, teachers, healers, and students scared of attachment, and furthermore, in a paranoid state around the ultimate expression behind attachment which is love. People think you need to fully detach from space, time and people in order to attain the spiritual consciousnesses similar to what Buddha and other spiritual paths have shown and this is the misconception. Our love for our family, partners, animals, ancestors, god and environment is what makes us fully human. “HUMAN” HU – form of light and MAN-manifested. We are the light and a manifested expression of that light is the consciousness of love. Detachment should only serve to foster our acceptance of the transitions of life and its constant evolution, and not to dim the light of our soul expression of love. Remember that when you truly love another, you are able to see the face of god.
